BZE

The Zero Carbon Australia Plan shows in detail how every sector of the Australian economy can move to zero emissions within 10 years using off-the-shelf, cost-effective technologies. BZE has collaborated with research partners and private philanthropic foundations for over ten years to create this. Transition Village Wallan

Providing a community response to the issues of homelessness in our local area. TVW will provide safe, supported, short to medium term accommodation for people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless in the Shire of Mitchell area.

Bike Safe Macedon Ranges

Bike Safe Macedon Ranges is a cycling safety advocacy group that is actively pursuing programs which will improve cycling safety in the Macedon Ranges. We use safety campaigns to educate all  road users aimed at improving relations and behaviours. We works closely with the police, VicRoads and the shire council to enable a safer environment for cyclist in the Macedon Ranges and to increase cycling participation. We believe that a strong community comes from partnerships with all parties and that together we can achieve a better outcome for all. 

TreeProject

Established in 1989, TreeProject brings the urban and rural community together to restore urgently needed indigenous vegetation and to repair Victoria's damaged ecosystems. Our volunteers contribute their time and hard work to propagate seedlings of indigenous trees, shrubs and grasses from their own backyards in order to provide low-cost seedlings to landholders doing revegetation projects.

The Wilderness Society

The Wilderness Society is a grassroots organisation with 40 years experience advocating for and protecting Australia's natural environment. Our vision is a community that protects and respects nature. We offer various opportunities for the public to get involved. Whether its by joining The Wilderness Society, becoming a volunteer, or participating in our free community organising training. Please see our website for more information about our campaigns.

Woodend Bee-Friendly Society

The Woodend Bee-Friendly Society is a working group of the Macedon Ranges Sustainability Group that seeks to promote the sharing of knowledge about beekeeping between aspirants, novices, and experienced beekeepers in Woodend and surrounding areas.  Woodend, Victoria, has a distinctive climate with long, cold winters and relatively short summers.   The main aim of this Society is to promote best practices for sustainable beekeeping in the local area.

Edgar's Mission

Edgar's Mission is a not for profit haven for rescued farmed animals.Established in 2003, Edgar’s Mission seeks to create a humane andjust world, while rescuing and providing sanctuary to animals in need. With a simple mission of kindness Edgar’s Mission works to expand the public’s circle of compassion to include all animals through education, advocacy, community enrichment, and farm tours

Friends of the Earth

The Friends of the Earth Forest Collective brings together grassroots groups, conservationists and forest lovers from across Victoria to coordinate campaigns and take action for the protection of Victoria's native forests and threatened wildlife.

Gisborne Montessori School

Gisborne Montessori School operates under the guidelines of Montessori practices and aims to be a model of excellence in this style of education. We pride ourselves on providing excellent curriculum delivery using hands on Montessori materials and on maintaining a strong focus on the well-being of every child in our care. The school is set at the foot of Mt Macedon on 10 acres of picturesque grounds in New Gisborne.  

Macedon Ranges Cycling Club

We are a friendly, dynamic cycling club located in the beautiful Macedon Ranges. We organise social rides through some of the most picturesque areas of Victoria.
